Welcome to Suilven vegetarian bed and breakfast.
Set in the incomparable wilderness scenery of the North-West Highlands of Scotland, this architect designed house was self-built according to strict standards of environmental design and incorporates innovative features such as passive solar heating. Views to the south look over Lochbroom to An Teallach; to the east Ben Dearg dominates the head of the loch and in the west the sun sets over the Summer Isles.
This family home offers vegetarian cooked breakfasts and has two guest bedrooms: a double with en-suite, and a twin bed room.
"Suilven" is situated in the little crofting village of Rhue 3 miles North of Ullapool, a left-turn off the A835. It is the first house on the right as you come into the village. Ullapool itself is 11/2 hour's drive from Inverness airport where cars can be hired. Alternatively buses connect twice a day from Inverness to Ullapool as the main port for the car ferry to Stornoway and the Outer Hebrides.
